Kal is a fourth-year medical student currently studying at Keele University, School of Medicine. He achieved his Bachelor of Science with Honours in Biomedical Science at St Georges, University of London in 2017.
Kal founded Meducators UK in his first year of medical school. He is extremely passionate for medicine and has vast experience in tutoring secondary and college students academically, as well as preparing them for medical school interviews.
He has represented Anthony Nolan, a charity that saves the lives of people with blood cancer who need a stem cell (or bone marrow) transplant. He did this both locally and nationally in his previous role as President for the society at St Georges, University of London.
Kal has professionalism and confidence in public speaking.
Saima is a GP trainee, currently working in the Midlands. She graduated from St George’s, University of London in 2017.
Saima has had a keen interest in medical education since the start of her medical school journey. Alongside the pressures of exams and placement, Saima was a Clinical Skills Peer Tutor at her University for 3 years, which involved her teaching clinical skills sessions to first- and second-year medical students. After she graduated, Saima was still motivated to further develop her interest in medical education, therefore took on the role as a Post-Graduate Clinical Skills Tutor at St George’s University, which gave her the opportunity to build her skills by teaching more complex clinical skills and examinations to third year medical students, as well as leading stimulated ward rounds.
“I believe Meducators UK will provide me with a platform to utilise the skills I have gained from my extensive involvement in medical education both during medical school and since I’ve started working as a foundation doctor. I look forward to working with Kalvind and the rest of the Meducators UK team to help deliver interactive and informative workshops for students who are interested in studying healthcare at University in the future.”
Arun is currently a Foundation Year 2 Doctor in Leicester. He graduated from St George's, University of London in 2018. His passion for medical education started to grow after he graduated, where he had the opportunity to teach medical students, both in a clinical setting but also on how to adjust to life after university.
During his time as a Foundation Year Doctor, Arun has taught clinical skills, examined in mock OSCEs for final year students and also lectured at St George's, University of London.
During his free time, Arun likes to spend time working on his fitness and playing racquet sports.

Giulia graduated from the University of Cambridge in June 2019, after which she spent three months abroad as a vet intern working with the South African wildlife.
She joined us here at Meducators UK November 2019 and has a particular interest in Small Animal Medicine.
She enjoys skiing, swimming and travelling around the world. At home she lives with two beautiful cats, a Bengal and a Siamese who love to chatter!
Dr Praniith is currently working as a Maxillofacial Senior House Officer in Surrey.
He graduated from Barts and The London in 2018 where he was awarded the Dean’s prize for outstanding achievement as well as the Constance Klein memorial price.
Dr Praniith will be starting his Specialist Prosthodontic training at Kings College London in the fall of 2020.
Having been a GCSE and A-Level Biology Tutor for 6 years, Praniith has a strong passion for teaching and education. Furthermore he has been the President of the Tiffin Dental Society for the past 5 years, during which time he has held Mock Dental interviews yearly.

Amber is a fourth year medical student at Keele University, having previously achieved a first class BSc (Hons) in Medical Physiology at Leicester University in 2017.
With plenty of experience in and around healthcare, Amber has recognised the importance of the many skills that are required to become a doctor. One such experience with patients on the ward resulted in her completing the Level 1 and 2 qualification in British Sign Language to help improve her communication with people who have hearing difficulties.
Amber has close to 10 years of experience in teaching students aged 4 to 25 with various abilities in a range of subjects at a private tuition centre. This experience will undoubtedly help in her role at Meducators UK inspiring the next generation of students interested in healthcare.
Rosina is a fourth year medical student currently studying at Keele University. Rosina graduated from The University of Manchester with a degree in Neuroscience, also spending time studying
abroad at McGill University in Montreal.
Rosina loves getting involved in medical teaching, having spent time teaching medical students
and visiting local schools and colleges to motivate others to study medicine. She is also a student ambassador and has been involved in inspiring students from a widening participation background to attend university.
Rosina has a lot of experience in leading groups of people. She is currently president of Keele Neurology Society and is looking forward to seeing the society grow. In her spare time Rosina enjoys playing football and spending time with her cat.
With the vast amount of experience Rosina has accumulated over her time in further education,
students can be assured that they will be getting a well-rounded insight into a career in medicine as well as top tips to succeed in their UCAS application.
Samir is a junior doctor from St. George’s, University of London.
He is from Dubai, where he lives with his family. He is a keen sportsman with a love for football, cricket and boxing.
Samir has a passion for clinical teaching and enjoys helping students fulfill their goals. He has also set up various revision sessions and clinics aiding other medical students in their degree.
Maseera is a current Foundation Year Two Doctor in the NHS.
She has a vast amount of experience in teaching, exemplified in her management in Basic Life Support (BLS) sessions in the community with participants aged 5 to 60.
Maseera has also been involved on interview panels for A-level student admission processes into medicine at St. George’s, University of London.
Having graduated in 2017 with a Bachelor of Science Honours in Biomedical Science from St George’s, University of London, Shahir is now a fourth year medical student at King’s College London.
He has been an active Student Ambassador for the award-winning Widening Participation scheme for four years, raising awareness and leading projects to aid under-represented yet aspiring students consider higher education, with a focus on careers in healthcare. Some of his roles include teaching students basic clinical skills, providing pastoral support during summer schools and acting as a tutor, by overseeing applications to medical and dental school.
Having been through the gruelling process of applying to medical school, Shahir is keen to give students an invaluable head start with their preparations. An enthusiastic individual, he is eager to work in a dynamic team with other like-minded tutors at Meducators UK to make this a reality for others.
Imran is a current Foundation Year Two Doctor in the NHS. He is originally from Bradford where he has been involved with various charities such as Barnados and the British Heart Foundation.
During his time at St George's, University of London, Imran had the opportunity to join the interview panel and interviewed prospective medical students. He also enjoys teaching and has set up mock OSCE's to aid other medical students in their clinical training.
Imran has a passion for keeping fit and has a keen interest in squash.
Amaarah Hossain is a final year graduate medical student studying at King’s College London.
Having previously completed her BSc Hons in Biomedical Sciences, she is now studying on the graduate programme at King’s.
Amaarah enjoys teaching and working with students, and has previous experience of delivering clinical skills workshops on vital skills, like blood pressure and suturing, as well as experience tutoring medical applicants.
She is passionate about learning and is excited to work alongside the next generation of medical and dental students with Meducators UK.
Jaye is a junior doctor from St George’s, University of London. In the Summer of 2018 Jaye completed her BSc (Hons) in Anatomy, Development and Cell Biology.
Jaye is very passionate about Medicine and has a lot of experience as a team leader. She is currently President of the Oncology Society at St George’s, University of London a position that she has held for over a year.
With her experience in leadership and education, students can be assured that they will be guided and assisted in anyway possible to ensure they are well informed and have worthwhile and inspiring experience.
Vicky is currently a fourth year graduate medical student at Keele University. She has previously completed a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences and Master of Research in Cancer Biology at the University of Liverpool.
Vicky has a strong passion for medicine and academic research, but also loves helping students excel in their studies and achieve their goals. She has a lot of experience working with students of all ages both in the care and education sector, exemplified by her previous role as a university support worker.
Vicky is very excited about working as a member of the team and is looking forward to using her enthusiasm and drive to help aspiring healthcare students succeed with Meducators UK.
Magnus is a Physiological Sciences BSc Hons graduate, currently in his fourth year of a medical degree at Keele University.
Magnus has visited schools and colleges to speak about university life, studying medicine and other healthcare subjects. In addition to this, he enjoys sharing relevant life experiences and his own medical application process in hopes to motivate and inspire potential students who may be less privileged than others.
Magnus is a true advocate for healthy living; he enjoys exercising and living a generally healthy lifestyle. From his work experiences he has enjoyed seeing the positive impact made on school/college students and would like to continue doing so with Meducators UK.
Orestis is a junior doctor from St George’s, University of London. He also achieved his BSc Hons in Biomedical Science here in 2017.
His third year dissertation looked at the complex molecular pathways shared between Renal Cell Cancer and Pulmonary Hypertension.
In his free time, Orestis enjoys playing the guitar and singing, and regularly participates in fund-raising talent shows. He has also served as 2nd lieutenant for the Cypriot National Guard, where he received military training from 2012 – 2014.
Orestis is extremely passionate for medicine and has vast experience in tutoring secondary and college students academically, as well as preparing them for medical school interviews.
Mithushan is a final year graduate Dental student currently studying at King’s College London. He graduated in 2017 with a Biomedical Sciences BSc Hons from St George’s, University of London.
He has previously worked as a student ambassador as part of the clearing programme at St. George’s and is currently involved with the Widening Participation scheme at King’s College London. This scheme focuses on providing aid to students, from a lower socio-economic background, thinking about a career in healthcare.
Aside from this, Mithushan has a great passion for music, having directed numerous university programmes and teaching drums to kids aged 5-17. He hopes to use his experience in leadership and his enthusiasm to ensure students are well guided and assisted into a future in our healthcare system. He looks forward to working with Meducators UK.
